Baslee Troutman originated in 2001 when the Baslee family moved to beautiful, scenic Oregon.   Baslee is the Artist who creates the trout, steelhead and bass art from photographs taken in the field by fisherman "Troutman." Sketches are made and as the pictures develop, detailed instructions from Troutman are given on obtaining realistic color, design and form of the brook, brown and rainbow trout, steelhead, bass and salmon. Flower & Garden art is collected from photographs and field trips. All Baslee Troutman art is created to tell a story, blended together in story like themes that capture the fine details with special attention given to bring out the vivid, rich colors of nature. Everyone in the Baslee family goes fishing, grow flowers in their gardens and collect rocks.

The Baslee Troutman Collection’s Art is real, it’s fresh and it’s from a different perspective.    It’s does have appeal and is the accumulation of 47 years worth of what lies inside, the honest expression of what I’m able to share with you when I let my mind escape the daily struggles of staying on top in today’s complicated world.   It is an unique and different view of where I go when I travel away to another place and time, where you can admire the beautiful aspects of nature, timing, life.  

It’s what I capture and pull together that defines my optimistic, hopeful views.   That’s the beauty of art, it takes you out and away, and into another place to think, to contemplate, to wonder, to rest and relax and to find yourself. The real you, when you’re not in one of your designated roles playing employee, boss, citizen, neighbor, husband, father or any other position that requires time, effort or attention.

After many years of requests to produce fine art prints, The Baslee Troutman collection series has been brought out of private collections for it’s new release into on-line galleries that will produce giclee with print-on-demand capabilities. Each newly created print is created from a digital master file at the time of request. You choose the size, paper or canvas substrates, coatings, glazing, framing and matting.  These will be on-going open edition collections. The art you want, when you want it, at your convenience.

Art is about the viewer (the buyer, owner, shower). It is for you to enjoy, find satisfaction in, and share with family & friends and be something you can be proud of and show to others for their enjoyment. Your art should fulfill the need to tell a story in a way that calls to a person to look upon the picture, and look again, and look longer because there is much more.    There is much more than what is seen on the surface by standing back.   

These story art prints have many details that catch your attention and another layer of thought, another aspect, another perspective and then you return to the overall display to find yourself looking at another chapter of the story. You feel what it is saying, what it means, you can see the beginning, the middle and what comes next. You can work with and change the story. It captures your attention, captures you and lets your mind and spirit travel for however long you wish. Only realizing you were lost in thought, elsewhere, when you find yourself filling good and smiling, connecting, relating, understanding. It is there you want to stay or take feeling of well-being with you.             

I have always seen the world in pictures art frames that could be captured and created for you to see someday.
